This web site only costs me $70 a year, and if necessary I could live on $2000 a year, so I'm not desperate, and I would rather get no donations at all than a single one motivated by a feeling of obligation or guilt. I believe that only a gift economy is spiritually sustainable, and I want to feed the gift economy as much as I can, so as long as my expenses are low, I'd rather not "publish" my writing (put it in a form where payment is required), but give it away free and accept whatever payments people feel good about.
Everybody wants to support my land project, but I admit that my expenses on that are pretty much fixed -- except that if my savings gets high enough, and isn't wiped out by hyperinflation, I'll have enough to pay the continuing costs to own a vehicle. Also, donations motivate me to spend more money on good groceries like tart cherries and fresh salsa.
If you want to donate and you don't do paypal, email me and I'll give you a temporary address where you can send cash or money order. (I got rid of my PO box because I was paying $70 a year for six pieces of real mail.) Also check out my
